Saddle Fitting Shims
Made for the ThinLine® pads, this set of full-length Trim-to-Fit Shims will meet all your saddle shimming needs. Trim them to create a custom pair of front, middle (bridging), and rear saddle fitting shims. As your horse grows and changes, you will have several sets of shims available for fine-tuning your saddle fit.
ThinLine Shims are the perfect solution for riders who are committed to achieving optimal saddle fit and comfort for their equine partners. Made from the same proven open-cell foam as ThinLine saddle pads, these shims offer a unique combination of shock absorption and cushioning that can help to correct minor saddle fitting issues. Whether you’re dealing with an asymmetrical horse or simply looking to provide extra lift and support, ThinLine Shims are the perfect tool to help you and your horse achieve your best possible performance.
The most cost-effective and versatile way to shim your pad, ThinLine shims never lose their performance and shock absorption properties. The shims you buy today will last you a lifetime! Each shim packet comes with two shims, one for each side.
Trim-to-Fit saddle fit shims are available in a 3/16″ | 4.8mm thickness of amazing shock-absorbing protection.
4 styles of Saddle Fitting Shims can be made from our Trim-to-Fit shims. All shims come in pairs.
- Trim-to-Fit Shims – This pair of full-length shims meets all of your shimming needs! Trim to create a pair of Front, Bridging, and Rear Saddle Fitting Shims or use as a single shim to Boost your overall ThinLine protection and comfort. Simply use scissors or a box blade to trim.
- Shims stay put without shifting and you may stack up to three sets. We do not divide the pocket on your pad, allowing you or your saddle fitter to place the inserts precisely where your horse needs them.
If you find you no longer need inserts, just remove them and keep all the great benefits of your ThinLine Pad!

Endurance & Round Skirt Saddle Pad Shim Colors
ThinLine shims may arrive in black, brown or white. Since Endurance and Round Skirt saddle shims for horses cannot be seen inside your pad, color is not an issue.
